Allow for more than detached houses
Ainslie's 2021 occupied-dwelling profile was 72.5% separate houses, with 16.8% in the semi-detached, terrace and townhouse category. If your home has shared-property arrangements, include them before choosing the cable finish. For a detached home, photographs of the full wall and existing outlets give a more useful starting point than the age or appearance of the house.
