Before you book.

Every room is different. These answers cover the basics; we can discuss the details of your setup when you enquire.

Ask about your room
How much does TV mounting cost?

For one TV up to 54 inches, Basic starts at A$149 and Standard at A$179. These are starting amounts for a suitable installation; bracket supply and extra work are separate. Tell us your TV size and the finish you want so we can confirm the complete scope and total before booking. Larger TVs have different package rates, available in our cost guide. Basic covers positioning, levelling and mounting the TV, tuning available free-to-air channels through an existing working antenna connection, and tidying accessible cables with Velcro ties where practical. Standard includes Basic plus in-wall cable hiding where the plasterboard wall and route are suitable. Streaming-service and app setup is separately quoted. Bracket supply, soundbar installation, electrical work and antenna work are separate add-ons. Send your TV model or size, suburb, wall details and required services for a written quote.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment is due on completion for standard, business and commercial jobs. For commercial work, particularly subcontracting, an exception of up to seven calendar days after completion may be arranged in advance; it is not automatic. Any agreed due date is shown on the invoice. Deposits and payments made after the appointment use credit or debit card through our billing system at billing.souzahub.network. On the spot, you can pay by card through the billing system, cash or PayID. Depending on the work, deposits range from $20 up to 50% of the quote: special-order equipment may require a deposit, and work involving third-party coordination requires one. The amount is stated in your quote. All invoices and receipts come through the billing system, hosted under parent business Souza Hub; TV Mount Australia remains your service provider. We do not provide BSB/account details for direct transfers. See our Terms of Service for full payment details.

How long does TV installation take?

Ask for a duration estimate when discussing the quote. Provide the TV size and model, bracket, wall type and any cable-hiding, soundbar, power-point or antenna requirements so the full installation scope can be considered. We can discuss the timing for your particular scope before you agree the booking.

Do you offer same-day installation?

Contact us to check availability for your suburb and the work required. Include your preferred date and any access restrictions. A quote request or website enquiry does not reserve a time or confirm a same-day installation.

What areas do you service?

We serve Canberra, Queanbeyan and selected nearby suburbs listed in our service-area directory. Send your suburb so address coverage and availability can be confirmed. An unlisted suburb needs confirmation before you make plans.

What TV sizes can you mount?

We work with TV sizes from small to extra-large. Include the screen size and model if known so the bracket and wall setup can be considered.

How many technicians will install my TV?

For TVs up to and including 65 inches, we assign one TV mounting technician. For TVs above 65 inches, we always send two technicians so the screen can be handled and mounted safely. Tell us your TV size and model when enquiring so we can plan the installation.

How high should my TV be mounted?

We plan the height around your room rather than strictly following an eye-level rule. We consider whether you mainly watch from the sofa, also watch from the kitchen, or use a mix of viewing positions. TV size, nearby furniture, soundbars and home-theatre equipment also matter. As a general starting point, we recommend the bottom edge of the TV sits 70–110 cm above the floor—not the centre of the screen. We discuss the final position with you to suit your setup.

What wall types can you work with?

We work with plaster, brick and concrete walls. The construction and condition still need to be considered for each installation.

Can you hide the cables?

For suitable plasterboard walls, compatible cables pass through the existing wall cavity without adding internal PVC or conduit. For solid brick or concrete, we can assess a visible surface-mounted PVC cover or conduit, quoted separately. We assess the TV leads and route before confirming the work. Lower connection loops can remain visible, or power and signal connections can be planned behind the TV for a clearer finish. New points and fixed electrical work are separately quoted.

Compare the cable finishes

Can you supply a bracket, and do I need full motion?

Yes, we supply brackets. We recommend a fixed bracket for most customers because they do not need to move the TV once its position is agreed. If you need to turn or extend the screen, we offer a selected full-motion bracket that we trust, subject to compatibility with your TV and wall. In our experience, some full-motion brackets are difficult to position precisely and the TV can shift slightly after you let go. That is why we are selective about the model we install rather than recommending movement for every setup.

Can you make the TV sit closer to the wall?

We often recommend a recessed mounting or wall-point solution for a neater finish where the setup allows it. Recessing suitable connections can create space for plugs and cables behind the TV. The final gap still depends on the TV, bracket, wall cavity, connections and required clearances; it is not a guarantee that every TV will sit flush. We assess the options with you, and any required electrical work is handled by a licensed electrician.

What happens if my installation needs electrical work?

We coordinate with our electrical partners when electrical work is required. A licensed electrician carries out the electrical part, working together with the TV mounting technician so the power, TV position and overall setup are planned together. Tell us whether you need a new power point or a recessed electrical connection when you enquire so this work can be included in the agreed scope. Electrical work is a separately quoted add-on, not automatically included in TV mounting.

How do I request a quote?

Use the quote form with your suburb, required services and either a phone number or email address. For mounting, add each TV and choose Basic, Standard or Not sure. TV details are optional for antenna-only work. Send room photos through WhatsApp, or call (02) 6190 1656 to discuss the setup.
