Which providers are included?

This guide selects national brands and local specialists that customers may consider alongside TV Mount Australia. It includes JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Jim’s Antennas ACT, Geeks2U, Canberra Antennas and TV Magic Canberra. Other installers, including lower-priced offers, are outside this selection.

Jim’s, Canberra Antennas and TV Magic have ACT or Canberra service pages. JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys publish national rate cards: confirm service and extras for your address. Geeks2U is a national benchmark here; its mounting page lists Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, and Canberra mounting availability is unconfirmed.

Choosing Basic or Standard

Basic includes mounting and practical cable tidying. Standard adds suitable in-wall cable hiding. See our mounting cost guide for the full package and optional-service price list.

Advertised base prices beside our Basic rate

The two retailer rate cards match in these size bands. Their base service includes existing streaming help; our Basic does not. Geeks2U’s graphic gives the listed tiers and its page describes setup help, but its Canberra availability is unconfirmed. At 76–89 inches our Basic is A$30 above each advertised base figure.

Our Standard without smart setup is below JB Hi-Fi’s base-plus-concealment calculation in each listed size band. Adding our optional setup service changes that comparison in some bands. These examples apply to JB Hi-Fi; task scope differs, so they are planning examples rather than identical-service quotes.

Direct comparison with Canberra Antennas

These examples use our A$89 fixed-bracket option; they do not compare every available bracket. Canberra Antennas does not show a separate 66–69-inch tier in the checked offer. Jim’s Antennas ACT and TV Magic Canberra do not publish comparable residential rates on their checked pages; request itemised quotes rather than assume their prices.

What Basic and Standard include

Basic includes position and viewing-height planning, levelling and mounting, available free-to-air channel tuning through an existing working antenna connection, and tidying accessible cables with Velcro where practical. Neatly arranging wires behind the TV or around equipment is different from concealing them inside the wall.

Standard includes Basic plus suitable in-wall cable hiding. Bracket supply, soundbar installation, antenna work and fixed electrical work are separately quoted. Fixed electrical work is carried out by an appropriately qualified electrician.

Streaming and app setup is optional and charged separately from mounting. Bracket supply is separate and subject to compatibility. See our mounting cost guide for current optional-service prices.

Compare the written scope before booking

Give each provider the same details. Compare the agreed work and finish, then choose the offer that suits your room. Sending us a quote request does not reserve a booking.

• Use the exact TV size and model: a 65-inch TV can fall into a different competitor tier from a 64-inch TV.
• Specify the wall, intended height, access and whether you want tidy visible cables, in-wall hiding or surface conduit.
• Confirm bracket model and supply, existing cable lengths, any new points and all electrical work.
• List the streaming accounts and connected equipment you want configured; clarify what is included.
• Confirm address availability, travel, delivery, additional labour, tax and the final total payable.

How to read these comparisons

All amounts are Australian dollars. Each price table labels TV Mount Australia and the competitor explicitly. Competitor figures are advertised starting prices, not address-specific quotes. Inclusions, bracket type, cable finish, travel and other extras can differ; confirm the agreed work and final total with each provider.
